Terms of service
The rules for using Elo. Each section opens with a plain-language summary; the summary is not a substitute for the section.
Updated September 7, 2026
Draft skeleton. Structure and intent only — not enforceable terms until reviewed by a lawyer.
These terms are between you and Hapiga (“Elo”, “we”). By creating an account or using the app you accept them.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live) to use Elo, and you confirm the information you give us is accurate.
2. Your account
In plain terms: keep your login safe; you’re responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us if you spot unauthorised use.
3. Subscriptions & billing
- Elo is free to start. Paid plans are billed through the App Store or Google Play under their terms.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel any time in your store account; access continues to the end of the paid period.
- Refunds are handled by the app stores under their policies.
- Confirm current prices, billing periods, any free trial, and refund details.
4. Acceptable use
Don’t:
- break the law or infringe others’ rights while using Elo;
- reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the service, or resell access;
- upload malicious code, or try to access accounts or data that aren’t yours.
5. Community rules
The herd works because it isn’t a scoreboard. In community spaces, don’t harass, shame, or give medical advice; don’t share other members’ information; don’t promote extreme dieting or disordered behaviour. We can remove content and accounts that break these rules.
6. Health disclaimer
Elo is a wellness tool, not a medical service. See the medical disclaimer, which is part of these terms.
7. Intellectual property
The app, the companion, the worlds, and the content on this site are ours or our licensors’. Your logged data stays yours; you give us the permissions we need to run the service for you.
8. Disclaimers & liability
Add “provided as is” and limitation-of-liability wording, scoped to local consumer-protection limits.
9. Termination
You can stop using Elo and delete your account any time. We may suspend or end access for breaches of these terms or to comply with the law.
10. Governing law
Specify governing law and where disputes are resolved.
11. Changes
We’ll post changes here and update the date. Continuing to use Elo after a change means you accept the new terms.
